Dr. Alessandro TraniDr. Alessandro Trani obtained his Ph.D. in astrophysics from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), located in Trieste, Italy, in 2017, and will be joining the Department of Astronomy as an associate professor on December, 2025. He has collaborated with research groups from several institutions, including Leiden University, International Astronomical Union, and the Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics. His research focuses on stellar dynamics, including topics such as three-body interactions, circumstellar disks, binary systems, and mergers of compact objects, among others. Additionally, he has taught postgraduate courses and has supervised more than a dozen students across both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. |
